Council & Committees

Everyone has gifts to share, and there are many ways to make a difference in the life of our church! The Faith Lutheran Church Council and its committees work together to guide our church, care for its needs, and support its mission.

Church Council

The Council helps guide the life and ministry of our church. Working together with our pastor, staff, and congregation, the Council helps us live out our mission and share God’s love with our church family and the wider community.

Text on top reads: Church Council. Guiding. Supporting. Serving. on a background of a table that holds a holy bible, a coffee cup with a cross, a blue pen on a notebook with the words "together in faith". There is a large cross on the wall next to a large leafed plant. There are the tops of two blue chairs behind the table.

The Council’s work includes:

  • Guiding our mission: Setting goals, planning for the future, and making sure our activities support our church’s mission.
  • Supporting worship and ministry: Encouraging everyone to take part in worship, learning, service, and caring for others.
  • Caring for our church: Overseeing church operations, finances, property, and other resources entrusted to us.
  • Supporting our pastor and staff: Building strong working relationships and helping our staff carry out their ministry.
  • Building a caring community: Encouraging respect, goodwill, and understanding as we work through differences together.
  • Connecting with the wider church: Supporting our partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), our synod, and other congregations.

The Council consists of four officers and four-to-eight individuals elected from the congregation. Through their monthly meetings, they work to keep our church strong, welcoming, and focused on its mission. Its members serve the congregation and help provide direction for our life together in faith.

Church Committees:
