Children & Youth

We believe that faith grows through worship, learning, and the support of family and church.

Children’s Message in Worship

Pastor Chris sits with a group of 5 children and one adult female at the altar during the children's message at Faith Lutheran Church, Bristol CT.

During worship, our pastor shares a special children’s message (for K through 6th graders) that explores the Sunday Scripture readings in ways that help children better understand their meaning and how they relate to everyday life.

Vacation Bible School

From time to time, we may offer special workshops or gatherings to meet the needs of our children and families. One such opportunity is the summer Vacation Bible School.

Holy Communion

Pastor Chris is at the altar with the wine in the bread and wine. Three candles are lit on each side of the altar. There is a red banner in front of the altar that reads Be Merciful, Lord in lighter colored letters.

We partner with parents to nurture their children’s faith, including conversations about Communion at a time that feels right for each child and family.

If your child is curious about Holy Communion or would like to receive it, our pastor would be happy to meet with you and your child to explore what it means.

Other Opportunities including Confirmation

We recognize the busy schedules of today’s families and offer flexible opportunities for children and youth, including those of confirmation age, to connect, explore their faith, and grow in their relationship with God and one another.

We encourage families to contact our pastor to learn more about opportunities for faith formation and confirmation-age gatherings.
