What to Expect on Sundays

Video of Pastor Chris welcoming new visitors to the church, explaining what to expect during the service, and inviting all to stay for fellowship after the service concludes.

Sunday worship at Faith follows the familiar Lutheran pattern of Gathering, Word, Meal, and Sending. Through music, Scripture, preaching, prayer, and the liturgy, we come together to hear God’s Word, receive Christ’s gifts, and grow in faith. Everyone can take part through hymns, spoken responses, the Apostles’ Creed, prayer, and the sharing of peace. You can follow along with each week’s worship bulletin.

All Ages Participate!

The service includes a Children’s Message, especially for children in grades K–6. Younger children are also welcome to take part with an accompanying adult.

During the service, we may invite worshipers to stand as they are able. It is always fine to remain seated.

Faith in Worship and Everyday Life

Worship at Faith connects our Sunday gathering with the way we live throughout the week. Through Scripture and preaching, we reflect on faith, justice, relationships, suffering, and how we put our faith into practice each day.

During the prayers of intercession, we pray for our own concerns and for others in need. We also give thanks for restored health, special moments in our lives, and the ways we recognize God at work around us, which we call “God Sightings.” We may share these prayers and thanksgivings aloud with the congregation or offer them silently in our hearts.

Holy Communion: All Are Welcome

Holy Communion is an important part of our worship. At Christ’s table, we receive bread and wine as gifts of God’s mercy and love. All are welcome to receive Communion. You may stand or kneel, as you prefer. Gluten-free wafers and white grape juice are available upon request. For those who are unable to come forward, we can bring Communion to you.

Coffee, Conversation, and Fellowship

Following worship, Coffee Time in the Fellowship Hall offers a relaxed time to meet others, enjoy conversation, and continue the fellowship of the morning.

Worship Online

Online worship offers another way to hear God’s Word and stay connected with the Faith community. If you cannot join us in person, you are welcome to worship with us live through our Facebook page or YouTube channel.

Our weekly bulletins and announcements are also available online. If you miss the live service, you can watch the recording later on either platform.

If you have not already joined us and are thinking about membership, we have information available for you.
